Organization is Key in Business and in Life…

Hello my dears,

Do any of you ever feel TOO BUSY?! Do you ever feel overwhelmed with your jobs and your life? Do you just go in circles trying to get everything done, but end up crashing when you end up getting nothing at all done? Well I have certainly been there! When I first started my Fashion Business and Career, I had all these big ideas and dreams but didn’t seem to have the time or energy to make it all happen. I was juggling a full-time job in Fashion as well as my online Boutique. I wanted and thought I could get my online business up and running successfully in just a short amount of time, because, ya know, I’m pretty awesome! I’m smart and have a good work ethic. I know Fashion, so who WOULDN’T want to buy from my store? Well, no one did at first, and I was quite shocked! I had no idea the amount of work it took to become a successful Entrepreneur. It’s basically a full-time job in itself! If any of you out there are in a similar situation, then I certainly empathize. 

The picture above is the actual picture in my head that I had of my business when I eventually got a brick and mortar store – well decorated, quaint, welcoming, and full of clothing and accessories that everyone would of course want to buy. I’d have a line out the door! Boy, was I wrong! 

So I don’t have the brick and mortar store (yet), but I haven’t let go of that dream. I’ve just come to the realization that it’s going to take time and a lot of hard work to get there. But now I’m willing to MAKE time and put in the hard work it takes to make my dreams a reality. I’ve also learned that not only will it take time and hard work, but staying organized is key to making it happen. 

 

I did a lot of research on getting and staying organized in general, as well as for my business. There are so many tools out there that are free, or that cost very little. Etsy has a lot of affordable planners, budget trackers, inventory trackers, etc.  Etsy is a great place to find an affordable printable planner (and there are a ton of varieties to choose from!). There are also a lot of free PDF’s online if you just Google what you are looking for. Amazon is also a great place to find an affordable planner as well if you don’t want a printable version. So yes, planners are very ‘in’ right now, and so is staying organized! They both have business planners and just general life planners to help get you organized, as well as budget planners too. 

Getting and staying organized with finances, inventory, life, etc., can be very challenging. But I’ve found that a planner can do wonders! So get yourself a planner and start getting organized!
